The Global Benchmarking Network (GBN) is an alliance of leading benchmarking centers worldwide who share a common vision and mission. Current membership comprises more than 20 benchmarking centers which represent more than 30,000 business and government agencies.
The GBN Benchmarking Roadshow is a hands-on educational workshop, being hosted through BestPrax Club (India) and Benchmarking Partnerships (Australia). It aims to reach out to India Inc – an emerging benchmark for “disruptive” transformation. The Roadshow is held in a different member country each year.
The focus for the Mumbai Roadshow is Best Practices in Leadership and Strategic Planning. Apart from the educational workshop, seven Indian organizations will be show-cased.
All 16 organizations that participated in the BestPrax Benchmark competition will receive their Rating Certificates from Dr Robert Camp. |

| WHAT IS BENCHMARKING:
Dr Robert Camp, Life-time President, GBN;
Chairman, Best Practice Institute, USA |
Benchmarking is a positive, proactive process to change operations in a structured fashion to achieve superior performance.
The benefits of using benchmarking are that functions are forced to investigate external industry best practices and incorporate those practices into their operations. This leads to profitable, high-asset utilization businesses that meet customer needs and have a competitive advantage. |
| KNOW YOUR OPERATION:
Bruce Searles, Director, GBN;
Managing Partner, Benchmarking Partnerships, Australia |
You need to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the internal operation. If you do not know the operation’s strengths and weaknesses you will not be able to defend yourself. |
| KNOW THE INDUSTRY LEADERS OR COMPETITORS:
Dr Robin Mann, Chairman, GBN;
Director, Centre for Organisational Excellence Research, Massey University, New Zealand |
You will only be prepared to differentiate your capabilities in the market place if you know the strengths and weaknesses of the competition. That will ensure superiority. |
